Join First Church of Christ, Scientist for a very special hour of Christmas music, Wednesday, December 21, 2016, at 7:30 pm in Old Louisville, featuring international Opera star Gregory Emanuel Rahming.
Mr. Rahming made his Operatic debut in 1989 on the stage with The Kentucky Opera.
Since that time Rahming has had a tremendous career that spans more than 20 years as an international Opera singer, also starring on Broadway in New York.
Rahming has been the recipient of top prizes in numerous vocal competitions including the Leontyne Price Vocal Competition, the National Society of the Arts and Letter Competition and was a finalist in the Luciano Pavarotti Competition.
He continues to devote his superb talents to the world of music as a noted Voice Teacher and Music Educator.
Select vocal students of Rahming’s will also sing throughout the Program.
The Church’s organist David E. Hottel will play its magnificent Austin Organ which debuted around 90 years ago.
Mr. Hottel has served as Minister of Music and organist at Episcopal parishes in Indiana and Michigan for over 30 years. He studied the organ at Hanover College and at the University of Louisville.
The Program will conclude with a traditional Christmas Hymn Sing featuring Joy to the World, Angels We Have Heard on High and Silent Night.
