Evening Pearls: February 1, 2017

Evening Pearls are scriptural selections and correlative passages from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy taken from our Wednesday Evening Meeting.

Infinite Blessings

THE BIBLE (King James Version)

Psalms 67:1-7
1 God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; .

2 That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations.

3 Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.

6 Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us.

7 God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.

SH vii:1-2
To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings.

SH 2:8-11
God is not moved by the breath of praise to do more than He has already done, nor can the infinite do less than bestow all good, since He is unchanging wisdom and Love.

SH 265:24-26
The aspiration after heavenly good comes even before we discover what belongs to wisdom and Love.

SH 517:30-31
Divine Love blesses its own ideas, and causes them to multiply, — to manifest His power.

SH 266:17
Universal Love is the divine way in Christian Science.

HYMN 72 (Christian Science Hymnal)

1st Verse
Glory be to God on high, God whose glory fills the sky
Peace on earth to man is given, Man, the well-beloved of heaven.
Gracious Father, in Thy love, Send Thy blessings from above;
Let Thy light, Thy truth, Thy peace
Bid all strife and tumult cease.
